Jerry has created a unique genre of inspirational, intellectual, insightful comedy

“When I grow up, I wanna become George Carlin” has been a thought Jerry nurtured from his early 20s.

George used comedy to share his thoughts, insights, and ideas for action with humor and satire for social, political, and cultural change. Carlin was not just a comedian but also a philosopher, reformer, and change champion who shared wisdom humorously to tackle difficult and taboo topics that impacted humanity negatively.

My team, management agency The Entertainment Factory, and I decided to create a unique genre of Inspirational, Intellectual, and Insightfulcomedy, which is interactive and tackles social, political, and cultural issues plaguing our world.


As a professional Leadership Coach, Motivational Speaker/Storyteller, and Corporate Trainer, I have used humor to tackle difficult leadership learning concepts in my talks, training workshops, and books. Over the past 15 years, I have performed a MANAGEMENT-related stand-up comic act titled “Don’t squeeze lemons, they are humans,” where I roast managers about their behaviors as BOSSES who may create toxicity in the workplace. The act has managers and their team members guffawing, cackling, and rolling with laughter. Now, I am launching my stand-up comedy acts in live public events with guidance from my comedy management agencyThe Entertainment Factory and their founders Khushi & Mubin Tisekar

Here are some tried & tested stand-up comic acts:

5. Rand(Y)omness (Discussing random and philosophical topics with humour like George Carlin).
   1. Don’t squeeze lemons, they are humans (1.5 to 3 hours) – This is the first and only of its kind interactive management related stand-up actwhich ROASTS the BOSSES who are tormenting the MASSES and covers some light-hearted management practices under themes like The Monkey In a L'Oréal Salon, how results matter, people don’t and people need to be squeezed like lemons to juice em out and get results, how passion is often misinterpreted and misunderstood by people, and why 85% of people HATE their jobs around the world in workplaces that are so-called Great Places to Work.
   2. Jerry-Go-Round - This is a 1.5–3-hour improv and observational crowd work comedy just like Max Amini.
      In fact, many participants, who have attended the corporate events have told us that Jerry goes beyond and does it better with his tongue-in-cheek and well-timed humour, gestures, storytelling, bad listening pretension with powerful observation and simple facial expressions and body language. Jerry who thinks on his feet and has sharp wit and brilliant acumen to engage audiences, brings the act to life with humour and light-hearted roasting cooked-on-the-spot and works the room by choosing people to engage by gauging their reactions and reading members of the audience. For example, way back with one of his first few stand-up event for a large organisation in Kerala, all the participants who were mostly from Kerala kept saying Kerala is God's own country and after hearing them out. Jerry simply asked them "But where does God go for a Holiday? The place where my roots are. Goa! so while you all feel proud that you are God's own country, God is mostly away partying and having fun with us in Goa". At a recent conference there were some priests who were reacting negatively to people from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and then Jerry called one of the Transgenders on stage and also invited a priest to share their thoughts and debate LGBTQIA rights and as they walked onto the stage he says "Today we will watch the Beauty and the Priest" and had the audience, including the priests laughing their hearts out. With simple one liners, stories and wit, Jerry brings this crowd room act to life.

      
   3. OMfG - Oh My freakin God! - Jerry has performed this act in several events organised by INGOs and the UN.
      

      In these acts Jerry does a George Carlin (who is Jerry's biggest inspiration in the stand-up comic space) with powerful stories, satires and sarcasm and pokes fun at socio-political indoctrination and makes it insightful and take the edge away from stark truths that he is sharing We do not see the world the way it is, we see the world the way we are #indoctrinated (our paradigms, mental-maps, mindset) with limiting beliefs & unclarified values taught from childhood to shape our mindset & behaviours. What is #indoctrination in simple terms? : to teach children/people to fully accept ideas, opinions & beliefs of a particular group and to not consider other ideas, opinions & beliefs. Teaching people to absolutely accept a set of manmade Blind Beliefs, Stupid Superstitions, Damned Dogmas, Terrible Traditions, Cunning Customs, Corrupted Cultures, Dastardly Discrimination (based on race, caste, gender, colour, creed, religion & Gods people follow), uncritically and without questioning them. Interestingly synonyms of indoctrination include PROPAGANDISM and BRAINWASHING and often refers to religious ideas, that don't let you question or criticize those beliefs.
   4. SoPoCo- A Banana Republic of Mango People who love Apple products – Light-hearted observations about the citizens of the world’s largest and greatest democracy and all democracies in between.SoPoCo is Socio-Political Comedy. “A Banana Republic of Mango People who love Apple Products” is my act where I address issues and light-heartedly roast irrational behaviours of the citizens of India and other Democracies.
   5. Rand(Y)omness – Y like this? Find out Y? Find your Y? Really randy and random stuff that is real-world, philosophical, historical, psychological, mythological, and scientific shared with mirth and humour.

Jerry has also regaled audiences with his soulful singing and uses Karaoke, music, dance and other entertaining learning related methods, games and activities in his leadership, team-building, communication, sales, public speaking and other training programs.
